SMEB scholarship applications are now available!

Applications are now available for the 2008-2009 State Medical Education Board Scholarship. Complete application packets are available online under the Programs link.

Medical students who are Georgia residents and are attending or have been accepted in an accredited medical school in the United States are eligible to apply. Scholarship funding is available at a maximum of $20,000 per year for a maximum of 4 years. In return for each of year of scholarship funding, the student agrees to practice medicine in a rural Georgia county with a population of 35,000 or less according to the 2000 U.S. Census.
